Do you think people who get punched or beat up are irrecoverably broken? I don’t think it gets experienced any differently for many.

If people were so easily broken, then most people would be.

In my opinion, there are much worse things that happen to people than rape. Then again, I just got kicked out of a feminist group on Quora and subsequently booted from the site partly because apparently I’m not allowed to express opinions about my own experiences.

Not everyone is so goddamn fragile.

I’ve technically been raped several times, according to the definition. I said “no” prior to unwanted penetration. In every case, I fought them off. I was never traumatized by these experiences but I hesitate to talk about them because people will tell me it’s my fault or assume I’m damaged.
