…hould go by your fifteenth birthday. I’ve also heard that you should go after you’ve first had sex. However, my virginity that I’ve grudgingly held on to and my anxiety towards doctors visits in general means I didn’t brave my first gynecological exam until I was 21. Which makes me feel like I waited too long. But, honestly I just don’t know, because it’s not something that we, as a society, talk about like… ever.

Good for you. I had my labia minora completely removed and my glans denervated by a prominent OB/GYN when I was barely 18.
They think they know what they don’t know and that is actually dangerous.
