I know turning down free drinks and dinners was part of my feminism. Being feminist meant contributing equally financially, until I dated a guy worth ~40 mil and tried to split checks. Then I felt silly. Then I realized I liked free stuff.

Taking advantage of traditional gender roles, where it benefits us, only reenforces the negative aspects on a systemic level. If you want equality, you have to commit to treating men as equals rather than just taking advantage when it suits you and complaining when it doesn’t.
