I love this! Thank you so much for writing this.

This is why people ultimately can get away with victimizing women more in society. We do not stand up for ourselves enough. We are too afraid to sound angry, aggressive, combative, rude, etc. We are too afraid to hurt anyone’s feelings. Fuck that.

I am so sick of people telling me not to be angry. Yes, I want to be an effective communicator. But I object to this aversion to anger, especially female anger. It seems like when people perceive anger, they just tone out what you are saying. But they don’t realize it is anger that drove you to be strong enough to say something difficult in the first place.
