I think you’re actually wrong. The Mongolian culture under the Kahn dynasty was extremely patriarchal. Their genes dominated among offspring produced. That is not “great variety.”

Their wives and concubines did not have much, if any, choice. In this extreme case of many women mating with the same men, this arises because female mare choice is highly restricted.

One thing interesting is that while women are picky, our tastes are extremely varied. When I post photos of the hottest men, it doesn’t seem like many agree, and I find that strange.
