I disagree. I don’t think it was my biology. I think this was based on the social norms I was exposed to. Upon self-reflection, my preferences have changed.

It is sexist to assume all women want a man to lead them. That just is not true. Plenty of women would prefer equality or are happy being the dominant person in the relationship. That is what I’m saying. Assuming if a dynamic works for you and your girlfriend, it will work for everyone is faulty logic.
