Maybe because women like sex. Calling a woman’s vagina her “most important treasure” actually does reduce her to primarily a sex object. Again, women have much more to offer than sex.

Women like sex too. What this means is that, given the ability to act freely, women are happy to trade sex for sex. In a culture where women have at least close to equal financial and social power (and gaining), there is no need for us to suppress our sexuality in order to exchange it for resources.

In the past, we had to suppress our sexuality in order to raise the price of sex, so we could use it as a medium for exchange. This is a side effect of having less power in society. If you remove this need, women will choose to trade sex for sex because we actually enjoy sex. Period.

What would you say if I called your dick your “most precious resource” and shamed you for giving it up easily (I realize maybe you didn’t ever do this)? It is extremely degrading to women to say our value is carried in our vaginas. We have much more value to offer to the world and frankly do not need to enter into relationships with men who see us as inferior, as you so clearly do.
