Men do talk like that. Those are actually anecdotes I’ve experienced first hand, among many others. I was at dinner with a group of all guys who were mostly friends of a friend. When I protested, he told me to chill and that they were just joking. Maybe that should have signaled me to break off that friendship.

I’ve also had male friends tell me this is not uncommon. If you and your friends do not make such “jokes,” I commend and appreciate you.
