None of the research you quote indicates there are differences in male and female sexual attitudes and behaviors. None of the research you quote addresses male and female sexual desire specifically. You seem to be missing the subject matter of the article.
When addressing desire, I don’t think the author ever claimed there was no average difference. She said recent research indicates differences are much smaller than men previously claimed in biased sex research used to invalidate female sexuality.
At least ons of the experts you quoted agreed differences are small but amplified by culture.
Arguing there are differences between male and female brains cannot then be applied to every single aspect. Just because there are average differences in brain structure doesn’t mean this manifests as biologically based differences in sexual attitudes and behaviors, which are the subject of this article.
Also, the research you cite does not “widen the gap.” You are misinterpreting the meaning of it.
