One issue here is the man they had reading the script is super effeminate. He is arguably more feminine than the female reading Trump’s script. She also has the much stronger, more charismatic personality of the two of them. I don’t think the perceptions here were about gender. There are many other variables at play. Delivery, facial expressions, tone, etc all play a role.
