One thing really frustrating is how women don’t talk about their problems.

I’ve been trying to raise awareness about how lack of OB/GYN education in vulvar anatomy affects women. But women affected won’t talk about it.

I got contacted by a couple women on Twitter who were gaslighted for years when they had physical problems causing dysfunction. They were dismissed as psychological. But then I got kicked off Twitter so I lost contact. :/

In one study, 60% of women receiving radical vulvectomies reported their doctors did not talk to them about sexual concerns.

I also get contacted via email by women who have been harmed by botched labiaplasties and clitoral hood reductions. They are ashamed, blame themselves, and won’t talk. I can’t get them to join this Facebook group another woman made for us. But I predicted this.

Getting clitoral neural anatomy included in OB/GYN textbooks. It was finally added for the first time in July 2019. BME/EE @WUSTL
