I also talked about this on Quora. The dorsal nerves of the clitoris are 2–3 mm in diameter in the clitoris. But their ~3 cm course inside the clitoris is simply left out.

But what’s crazy is OB/GYN is female dominated.

In the end, only men helped me do my study of the neural anatomy of the clitoris. I had to do it with a plastic surgery department because no OB/GYNs were interested. No female residents wanted to help.

One thing crazy is how much bigger our clitorises were than what has previously been claimed. But our measurements were consistent with the most detailed published anatomic study of the clitoris to date, by Lepidi and Di Marino.
