That is what they *claim* in self-reported surveys. Yet 77% say they would do these surgeries or the patient has hypertrophy. And “hypertrophy” has been defined in GYN literature as applicable to over half the female population according to normative studies.

My estimates indicate that the vast majority of doctors doing these procedures are OB/GYNs. I believe the numbers are like 7:1 (need to update). GYNs have far more financial incentive to do these procedures.

Most horrifically botched procedures are actually done by GYNs., according to the experts I talk to. They are not as competent as surgeons and have no more knowledge about vulvar anatomy than plastic surgeons (very little).
