The fact is most do not listen. I had a Twitter account made purely for the sake of spreading awareness about systemic negligence in OB/GYN. Only about 5 physicians tweeted in support of me.

One urologist shared that I know clitoral anatomy better than any doctor she knows. Still, most doctors didn’t listen. Some even blocked me just for tweeting at them, asking for support. Keep in mind I only took this to social media because direct entreaties to leadership and textbook authors didn’t work.

My account got permanently suspended after doctors reported me for saying some things I shouldn’t have said about my anger towards a doctor who mutilated my clitoris in a surgery performed without my consent and has continued to lie about it.

I had over 700 followers 9 (in 3 months), but now they are all gone.

Getting clitoral neural anatomy included in OB/GYN textbooks. It was finally added for the first time in July 2019. BME/EE @WUSTL
