There are actually a lot of large labia minora in porn. Many popular porn stars have labia minora that doctors would consider “hypertrophic.” Meanwhile, in peer reviewed medical journals, protruding labia minora, common to about half the female population, are described as “unfeminine,” “embarrassing,” caused by excess androgens (completely false), caused by excess masturbation, “less acceptable,” etc.

The claim that porn (at least hardcore porn) is what is behind the demand for surgeries is complete BS unsupported by actual research on what influences women’s perception of normal. It is primarily labiaplasty surgeons who pathologize normal (calling the labia minora of half the female population “hypertrophic”) and drive the demand for these procedures.
