This claim is also ubiquitous in medical literature. Both the American Society of Plastic surgeons and the American College of OB/GYN endorse this claim. When asked to stop calling labiaplasty “rejuvenation,” the ASPS insisted they get more clicks this way. This is medical fraud used to mislead mostly young women into seeking surgery via instilling the false impression that they “look old.”

How can we combat ignorant, stigmatizing myths when the most authoritative medical sources endorse them?
