This is not true. Plenty of women are actually happier leading.

Plenty of women resent being in the shadow of their husbands. My grandfather was Mr. Perfect — #1 in his Harvard Law School Class, always in control, good at everything. My grandmother was a stay at home mom. He was everything, and she was just his wife. Gosh, if anyone resented anyone, she resented him.

Then he died. And she became an utter badass.
