This is why female sexual dysfunction is almost always assumed to be psychological. Female sexual function and dysfunction is only discussed in OB/GYN textbook in chapters on “emotional issues” and “psycho-social issues.” Detailed anatomy and physiology is excluded. This stands in stark contrast to the way male sexual function and dysfunction are approached.
