Uhh liking rough sex can also mean being rough with guys. The fact is that female sexual aggression is culturally discouraged while male sexual aggression is encouraged. Female sexuality is framed as passive while male sexuality is framed as active. That is why there are so many more men who identify as dominant in bed.

But research has shown that those who take a dominant role in BDSM relationships are more mentally healthy than those who take a submissive role. Furthermore, female sexual subjectivity is inversely correlated with female sexual dysfunction. All of this indicates that women benefit from taking charge in bed.

As for “male pillow queens,” this behavior also goes by another name: laziness. Some men are lazy. Also, I’m pretty sure every poll of male preferences for sexual positions shows that men most often prefer women on top.

Why won’t some men take charge in bed? The answer is the exact same as for why some women won’t take charge in bed. They just don’t want to.
