Uhhh I like your message about women being more than beautiful (of course!) but I still like to be told I’m pretty. I think everyone, both men and women, enjoy being told they are attractive, as attractiveness is valued.

Attractiveness is a social resource just like being smart, funny, etc. Perceptions of intelligence and hilarity are subjective as well but I like to be told I’m funny and smart too.

That said, I don’t worry about the details. I don’t even brush much less style my hair. But when people tell me my hair is awesome, I believe them and I feel good about it. I don’t see anything wrong with this.

I also obviously don’t date guys who only compliment my looks. That’s common sense.
